Licence — SQLBackup | Software Licence Agreement

In short: a subscription licence lets you run SQLBackup on your own machines while your subscription is active. It is not open-source and may not be redistributed or resold.

1. Your licence lets you

Install and run SQLBackup on the machines you operate, for personal or commercial use, while your subscription is active.
Use every feature — all database engines, destinations, encryption, scheduling and restore — with no per-database limits.
Receive all software updates and priority support released during your licence period.

2. Your licence does not allow

Redistributing, reselling, renting, sublicensing or publishing the software or your licence key.
Reverse-engineering, decompiling or attempting to derive the source code, except where permitted by law.
Removing or altering any proprietary notices, or using the software after your subscription has ended.

3. Trial, billing & refunds

You may evaluate SQLBackup free for 15 days. After the trial, a licence is $5/month, billed annually as a single $60 payment, covering one year of use. There is no automatic renewal — you simply purchase another year if you wish to continue, so nothing is charged automatically and there is nothing to cancel. 4. Your data and keys

Your databases, backups and encryption keys are yours alone. SQLBackup encrypts client-side and sends data only to the storage you configure — we never receive it. Safeguard your encryption password; lost passwords mean unrecoverable backups, by design.

5. Warranty & liability

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. You are responsible for verifying that your backups complete and that you can restore them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SQLBackup is not liable for any data loss, downtime or damages arising from use of the software.

Third-party components bundled with SQLBackup (such as Bootstrap, Bootstrap Icons, and database client tools) are distributed under their own respective licences.
